Project description: Gerber Collision & Glass, currently operating at 1910 E. St. Louis St., is constructing new digs on the south side of town, near the intersection of Kansas Expressway and James River Freeway. Adam Fox, manager, said the development is part of Gerber’s four-year growth plan to double the business by 2025 through investments in growth markets and underserved communities. Fox said the new facility will be a full-service center with 14 bays and a 27-foot spray painting booth capable of accommodating large passenger vans. It will have a double-heated prep deck, a frame rack with measuring systems and two wash/detail bays, he added. The corporate website notes Gerber has over 80 years of experience in collision and auto glass work, with more than 700 repair centers in the U.S. and Canada.
