Project description: The Coryell development family is adding to Coryell Commons in south Springfield with another 28 apartments for the 55 and older demographic. The first phase, a $10 million project next door at 248 E. Monastery St., brought 130 units to market in 2015. Co-owner Dan Coryell said those are fully leased. He said the extension is designed with features similar to Coryell Commons, including granite countertops and keyless entry. Coryell said residents can share the amenities: a fitness center, heated swimming pool and hot tub, and a community room. The addition also has 10 garage spaces available for rent. Southeast of the James River Freeway and Campbell Avenue interchange, Coryell said the monthly lease rates for Coryell Commons Heights are set between $950 for one bedroom and $1,295 for two bedrooms.
