Chiefs settle age discrimination case with former employee

The Kansas City Chiefs agreed to a settlement in an age discrimination case they've been fighting for nearly five years.

Steven Cox, a former director of stadium operations who was fired at age 61 in October 2010 and replaced with a 37-year-old, filed the suit.

In it, he accused Chiefs owner Clark Hunt of moving "in a more youthful direction," allegedly forcing out older employees to make way for younger replacements.

Terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
