CFO adds three board members

Community Foundation of the Ozarks Inc. named three new members to its board of directors.

Roy Hardy Jr., of Republic, Jimmy Liles, of Nixa, and Gail Smart, of Springfield, started their three-year terms July 1, according to a news release issued yesterday. Directors are eligible for a second three-year term.

Hardy works as a power marketer at Associated Electric Cooperative Inc.; Liles is the city administrator of Nixa; and Smart is a community volunteer and wife of Missouri State University President Clif Smart.

The CFO board also elected new officers for its fiscal year that began July 1, according to the release.

The fiscal 2022 executive committee comprises the following:
• Chair Robin Morgan, financial adviser at Valic Financial Advisors in West Plains;
• Vice Chair Laurie Edmondson, professor at Drury University;
• Treasurer Dean Thompson, associate general manager for City Utilities of Springfield;
• Secretary Anne McGregor, a donor-adviser for the Anne E. and Mac McGregor Fund;
• at-large officer Emily Kembell, attorney with Kirkland Woods & Martinsen LLP;
• at-large officer Ron Kraettli, vice president of the Community Foundation of the Hermann Area Inc. Board of Directors;
• Investment Advisory Board Chair Kari Creighton, a Springfield financial adviser; and
• Chair Emeritus Rhonda Christopher, senior wealth manager at BKD LLP.
