Amazon to pay $30M in fines over privacy claims

Amazon agreed to pay more than $30 million in fines to settle alleged privacy violations.

The Federal Trade Commission alleged the company violated privacy laws involving its voice assistant Alexa and doorbell camera Ring.

Specifically, the claims alleged that the company kept recordings of children's conversations with Alexa and that employees monitored customers' Ring camera recordings without their consent.
