The Missouri Agricultural and Small Business Development Authority is issuing more than $300,000 in grants to two businesses in the Springfield area.
The MASBDA, part of the Missouri Department of Agriculture, announced $250,000 for Mount Vernon-based Wilmoth Oil Co. LLC and nearly $55,000 for Ozark-based Scrivener Oil Co. Inc. The grants are designed to increase the availability of biodiesel and ethanol blends at gas stations in Missouri, according to a news release.
Wilmoth Oil is slated to use its funding for the installation of a new biodiesel dispenser and underground tank, as well as a store tank at undisclosed retail locations.
Scrivener Oil is tasked with installing new storage tanks and fuel dispensers at two undisclosed retail locations, according to the release.
The funding was part of more than $2 million in grant awards announced Fridayby the MASDBA.
