President Donald Trump plans to skip the White House Correspondents’ Dinner for the third time in his presidency.
“The dinner is boring and so negative that we’re going to hold a very positive rally,” Trump told reporters in early April. “I like positive things.”
Trump plans to hold a campaign rally rather than attend the event this Saturday celebrating the nation’s independent news media. It's also a chance for comedians to take jabs at politicians, including the president.
