The Trump administration yesterday announced new abortion restrictions would take effect immediately.
The restrictions bar taxpayer-funded clinics from referring women for abortions. They also require clinics to maintain separate finances from facilities that provide abortions.
Planned Parenthood President Leana Wen said the organization "will not stop fighting for all those across the country in need of essential care." The organization provides taxpayer-funded family planning and basic health care for low-income women, as well as abortions that must be paid for separately.
