Project description: Phase 1 of the resort-style community The Crescent Apartments opened Nov. 1, 2024, with 77 apartments. Phase 2 concludes the project, with a completion date set for May. Phase 2 includes 8,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space, with five retail suites facing Sunshine Street, as well as the remaining 68 apartments for a total of 145 in studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom layouts. Planned amenities include a rooftop terrace, fitness center and co-working hub, as well as a coffee bar, heated lap pool and dog park, officials say. The project architect is H Design Group LLC. Engineers are Own Inc., civil; Mettemeyer Engineering LLC, structural; and CJD Engineering LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
The Hazelwood Cemetery office building project consists of demolition of the existing maintenance building to make way for a new CMU block and wood-framed structure that will house a public-facing family room, offices and associated support spaces, and equipment bays.
