Rosedale Valley Memorial Gardens
Rosedale Valley Memorial Gardens cemetery opened in mid-June at 1340 S. Main St., two miles south of Highway 14 in Nixa. Pete and Teresa Flood, of Ozark, own the three-acre perpetual care cemetery, which means 15 percent of each plot purchase goes into an endowment for the cemetery’s care and maintenance. The Floods also own 17 additional acres that can be added to the cemetery, said General Manager Jerry Blevins, a real estate broker. Blevins said the Floods and Nixa city officials discussed a municipal cemetery, but the cost was too high for the city. “What we found is all the local cemeteries in Nixa are family-owned,” he said. Plots start at $500, which covers a 4-foot by 8-foot plot or a 2-foot by 4-foot urn space. The cemetery also offers 2-foot by 2-foot plots for pets. Blevins estimated the Floods’ startup costs at $100,000 for the three acres, road infrastructure, landscaping and fencing. Hours: By appointment. Phone: (417) 350-3346.

Cellairis
Cellairis, a cellular phone accessory retailer with headquarters in Atlanta, added a Springfield presence Aug. 4, when it opened its first kiosk in Battlefield Mall, 2825 S. Glenstone Ave. Regional manager Clark Stinson said the company has locations in Kansas City and St. Louis. The kiosk sells hundreds of cases and accessories to fit phones from every carrier. Prices vary depending on the products, which include screen protectors, shields, chargers, pouches and hands-free devices, Stinson said. Hours: 10 a.m.–9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon–6 p.m. Sunday. Phone: (417) 887-1215.

EFCO Corp.

Monett-based EFCO Corp., a Pella company, opened a 45,000-square-foot service center Aug. 2 at 2030 N. Alliance in Partnership Industrial Center West. James Bateman, the company’s storefront director, manages 20 plant employees, who manufacture and sell commercial storefronts and entrance doors. The plant serves as headquarters for the company’s expanded storefront operations, said Pella Corp. spokeswoman Kathy Krafka Harkema. “Springfield is a great location – it’s a business center,” said Harkema, whose office is in Pella, Iowa. “There’s good transportation access there, and it allows EFCO to serve customers all across the country.” EFCO leases the PIC West building from R-C-R LLC, which is registered to Rich Kramer. Kyle Estes of Gregg Stancer Realty represented EFCO in negotiations. Hours: Not applicable. Phone: (417) 235-3193.
