An executive at OMB Bank who was appointed to lead the company's banking as a service business late last year has exited the company.
Steve Bishop, who in November was announced as OMB Bank's executive vice president, chief innovation officer and president of OMBX, is no longer with the company, said Ryan Bowling, vice president and director of marketing for OMB Bank.
"We appreciate everything Steve contributed to OMB over the past five years and wish him all the best in his next chapter," a statement provided by Bowling reads. "Leadership of OMBX is still being determined, and we’ll share more details once we finalize those plans."
Bishop's LinkedIn profile indicates he worked at OMB Bank through March, and he's now listed as president of Shell Knob-based banking as a service initiative amBaaSsador. Bishop could not be reached for comment by deadline.
Bishop had worked at OMB Bank since 2020.
OMBX focuses on its integrated banking efforts, particularly banking as a service, according to past reporting.
