Project description: Kansas Expressway Phase II is an extension of Kansas Expressway south from Plainview Road, ultimately tying into Cox Road. The project includes clearing, grading, utilities, asphalt paving and concrete paving. When complete, the roadway will initially be head-to-head traffic, similar to Phase 1, according to project officials, with initial grading complete for future expansion to four total lanes. Burns & McDonnell Transportation Inc., a Fayetteville, Arkansas-based engineering company, worked on the project.
