Foundation for Springfield Public Schools names new leaders

At its annual meeting held Aug. 18, the Foundation for Springfield Public Schools announced its new lineup of officers and new members to its board of directors.

The new officers are: President Joseph Reid, of law firm Lathrop & Gage; President-elect Tracy Barnas, of UMB Bank; Treasurer Beau Barrett, of accounting firm Kirkpatrick, Phillips & Miller; Secretary Jana Bachus, community volunteer and former teacher; and Past-President Allen Kunkel, of Jordan Valley Innovation Center.

The new board members are Jeff Shore, of accounting firm Bush, Ramlow and Shore PC, and Steve Nurnberg, of the Springfield franchise of Toronto-based Bevinco Corp., a bar and restaurant profit management company.

The foundation also announced the retiring of three board members: Dot Atkinson, Sandy Howard and Kim Sullivan.

The foundation raises, manages and distributes private investments for Springfield Public Schools.[[In-content Ad]]
