The former chief marketing officer of OMB Bank is facing allegations that she stole funds from her ex-employer.

An eight-count felony complaint filed yesterday by the state of Missouri in Greene County Circuit Court accuses Shanda Trautman of allegedly using an OMB Bank company debit card to pay for personal expenses in 2023. A Springfield Police Department probable cause statement included in court records alleges Trautman misused the company card to pay for more than $13,000 of residential rent and $2,150 for her daughter's senior pictures, and that she allegedly misrepresented the payments in expense reports to OMB Bank.

Trautman exited her employment at OMB Bank in late 2023, according to past reporting. At the time, bank officials did not comment on her exit other than to confirm her departure.

Reached Tuesday afternoon, Trautman said she's had past issues with alcohol and has been sober for a few months.

"I was not a good employee at the end of my tenure at OMB," she said. "I was an alcoholic and made a lot of poor decisions – decisions that I regret deeply."

Trautman said her alcoholism and decision-making related to the allegations in the state's complaint led to her exit at OMB Bank. She declined to answer whether the accusations levied in the complaint were true and referred SBJ to her attorney.

Trautman said she is being represented by Joseph Passanise of Wampler & Passanise Law Office PC.

An OMB Bank spokesperson declined to comment.

Trautman most recently worked at Drury University as the executive director of marketing and communications from June 2024 through May of this year. At the time of her departure, Drury officials declined to comment on her exit. Reached Tuesday afternoon, a Drury spokesperson declined to comment on the complaint.

The complaint lists eight counts of misapplication of funds of a financial institution, a class D felony.
