CoxHealth wrapped up a multimillion-dollar expansion to its Hulston Cancer Center.
A new space, dubbed the Sue Dalton Chemotherapy Infusion Center, was added to the 3850 S. National Ave. Hulston building across the street from Cox South, according to a news release. The expansion launched last year had a $3.2 million cost, according to past reporting.
Located on the second floor of the Hulston building, the Sue Dalton Chemotherapy Infusion Center increases treatment chairs to 44 from 29 and adds five private suites for highly immunocompromised patients that require isolation. The center is named in honor of Andy and Sue Dalton, who were among the donors to the project.
“Over the years, our oncology service line has grown, with additional medical oncologists now on staff referring more patients to the center,” said Autumn Bragg, CoxHealth oncology manager, in the release. “We outgrew the former center and needed to grow to continue the excellence in care provided each day.”
