Bolivar company plans 50 jobs in Springfield

A regional call center is planning to hire 50 employees with a new office in Springfield.

Bolivar-based Promoveo LLC is slated to operate at Hammons Tower, according to a news release from the Springfield Business Development Corp. A timeline was not provided in the release, and officials could not be reached for comment by deadline.

"Call centers and back office operations are a key industry for our local economy, and we’re grateful that, even during a pandemic, employers like Promoveo are investing in our community," said Matt Morrow, Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce president, in the release.

Founded in 2015, Promoveo is a business process outsourcing company that works with industries such as health care, transportation and financial services.

Promoveo is utilizing incentives via HUBZone, a U.S. Small Business Administration program designed to increase business growth in underutilized business zones. The designation means at least 3% of federal contract dollars are awarded to employers within HUBZone areas, according to the release.

"We appreciate the knowledge and assistance we were offered by the chamber team; they are an incredible advocate for the Springfield area and its growth," Promoveo President Will Westmoreland said in the release. "We look forward to continuing this partnership as our company grows."
