Price Cutter Charity Championship raises $819K

The 2013 Price Cutter Charity Championship raised $819,079 for Ozarks children's charities, but missed the high water mark set last year. The 2012 event brought in a record $854,262.

During the annual Celebration of Sharing held yesterday at Highland Springs County Club, the John Q. Hammons Foundation distributed funding to 48 nonprofits. The latest round of donations brings the tournament's total to $10.9 million since its launch in 1990, according to a news release.

The 2013 event, a PGA Tour golf tournament on the Web.com Tour, was held Aug. 8-11 at Highland Springs. The 2014 event is scheduled Aug. 7-10 at the Springfield country club.

Nonprofits distributed funding yesterday, in alphabetical order, were:
