Veteran real estate agent Trip Rhodes and his team are now working with a different real estate company.
Rhodes said his four-employee team, which previously operated under the Crown Commercial name, joined Murney Associates, Realtors. He said no money changed hands as part of the move.
“We’re looking forward to joining Murney Associates where we believe we can offer an even higher level of service to our clients," he said in a news release issued late last week.
Rhodes is a co-developer with Phil Williams in The Ridge at Ward Branch, a multimillion-dollar project underway in south Springfield. Infrastructure work started earlier this year at The Ridge, a 100-acre development that's been estimated to be valued at more than $500 million when completed. Rhodes previously published a listing showing 50,600 square feet of retail space slated to become available in 2021, according to past reporting.
Murney Associates ranked No. 4 on Springfield Business Journal's 2020 list of the area's largest commercial real estate firms, with 11 active agents. Murney ranked No. 1 on the list of the area's largest residential real estate firms, with 544 agents. Both lists were published Aug. 24.
The new Bingham Elementary School, along with plans to renovate and increase the size of Bissett Elementary, wasn’t part of the original list of projects encompassed by Proposition S, a $220 million bond issue by Springfield Public Schools approved by city voters in April 2023.
