SRC Logistic Inc. has occupied an expanded facility in northeast Springfield, and more growth is on the way.
The division of remanufacturing company SRC Holdings Corp. announced in a news release Friday that it completed a 150,000-square-foot expansion of its 2607 N. Mulroy Road operation in March. Ross Construction Group LLC was general contractor for the $7 million project designed by BRP Architects, according to past reporting.
“In the past five years, SRCL and our customers have seen record growth which has led to two expansions with a third expansion in progress," said Mike White, president of SRC Logistics, in the release. "As we implement our growth strategy, we are excited that the added capacity allows our current and future customers to grow with us."
SRC Logistics, which specializes in reverse logistics and management for the remanufacturing industry, has clients including Bobcat, Navistar and Yanmar, according to its website.
With the latest expansion, the company operates in 312,000 square feet on Mulroy Road, located off Interstate 44 near Strafford. The original 162,000-square-foot building on the site was completed in 2021.
A third construction phase at the site is underway, with occupation expected at the end of 2022 for a 413,000-square-foot building north of the existing facility, according to the release.
Additionally, the company has a 410,000-square-foot warehouse on Pythian Street.
The expansion on Mulroy Road is part of $100 million worth of developments SRC Holdings unveiled in 2021 for a new 10-year plan, according to past reporting.
