Springfield chamber fills roles left vacant by retirements

Posted online

The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce has filled two roles that recently were left vacant by retirements.

Government Affairs Manager Lauren Mustoe has been promoted to acting vice president of public affairs, and the chamber hired Tiffany Batdorf as vice president of communications and community relations, according to a news release.

As previously announced, the chamber release also pointed to the hiring of Dean Thompson, vice president and chief economic development officer at City Utilities of Springfield, as director of regionalism and economic development as part of an executive-in-residence agreement between the two organizations. Vicki Pratt, former senior vice president of economic development, recently exited the organization.

"With new perspectives and fresh enthusiasm, our team has been energized," chamber President Matt Morrow said in the release. "All three roles will add to the great team we already had.”

Mustoe has been a chamber staffer since 2018. Batdorf previously was director of the chamber/CVB for the Mitchell Area Chamber of Commerce in Mitchell, South Dakota.

Sandy Howard, senior vice president of public affairs, and Jennifer McClure, vice president of strategic communications, recently retired from the chamber.
