Springfield-based O'Reilly Development Co. LLC has debuted a new senior living community in Kansas City.

The Barrymore Senior Living, located at 8400 N. Marston Ave. in north Kansas City, opened to independent living residents starting the first week of November, according to a news release. The development additionally has assisted living and memory care units that are scheduled to launch in early 2026.

“The debut of The Barrymore marks another milestone in our ongoing mission to create exceptional living environments that enrich the lives of seniors and their families," said Pat O’Reilly, co-founder and CEO of O’Reilly Development Co., in the release.

The development comprises 164 apartments, including 100 independent living units. St. Charles-based Arrow Senior Living is managing The Barrymore, marking its 17th collaboration with O'Reilly Development Co.

O’Reilly Build LLC, which this year was acquired by multistate construction and development company Russell Group, is general contractor for the 174,418-square-foot development designed by Kansas City-based SWD Architects, officials say. The project cost was not disclosed.

Founded in 2013, O’Reilly Development Co. has 30 residential communities with more than $800 million in combined development costs, according to the release.

In August, O'Reilly Development broke ground on The Meadows at Wicklow, a 240-unit multifamily development in northern Nixa, according to past reporting.
