O'Reilly Automotive Inc.'s (Nasdaq: ORLY) revenue continued to climb in 2024, with sales nearing $17 billion.
The Springfield-based auto parts retailer reported 2024 revenue of $16.7 billion, which was up 5.7% from $15.8 billion in 2023, according to a news release. Net income for the year came to $2.39 billion, or $40.66 per diluted share, an increase from $2.35 billion, or $38.47 per diluted share, in 2023.
During the fourth quarter, sales climbed to $4.1 billion from $3.8 billion a year earlier, while year-over-year net income was down to $551.1 million from $552.5 million.
"Our strong performance in the fourth quarter lifted our full-year comparable store sales growth to 2.9%, at the high end of our revised guidance range of 2% to 3%," O'Reilly Automotive CEO Brad Beckham said in the release. "While our 2024 results were below our expectations entering the year, we are pleased with our team’s ability to deliver solid comparable store sales growth despite tough market conditions."
O'Reilly Automotive's assets were $14.9 billion as of Dec. 31. The company operated 6,378 stores at the end of 2024, according to the release
ORLY stock, which has hit multiple 52-week highs in recent days, was trading at $1,337.04 as of 10:35 a.m., compared with a 52-week range of $947.49 to $1,350.27 per share.
