Springfield-based O'Reilly Automotive Inc. (Nasdaq: ORLY) issued and sold hundreds of millions of dollars' worth of senior notes, according to U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filings.
The senior notes, which have an interest rate of 5.1% and are due in 2036, were sold March 12. The bonds were priced March 5 through an underwriting group led by BofA Securities Inc., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and Wells Fargo Securities LLC. U.S. Bank Trust Co. served as trustee for the notes.
According to one of the SEC filings, O'Reilly Automotive plans to use roughly $841 million in proceeds for expenses, including other debt, and general corporate purposes.
In 2025, O'Reilly Automotive posted $17.8 billion in annual revenue and $2.5 billion in net income for the year, according to past reporting.
ORLY shares were trading at $87.35 as of 9:45 a.m., compared with a 52-week range of $86.79 to $108.72 per share.
