Chic Chick Store LLC
Rolla-based Chic Chick Store LLC moved its Springfield store a few doors down Sept. 1 to 412 E. Walnut St. Owned by Karen Jordan and managed by her daughter, Katia Jordan, Chic Chick is a juniors’ and women’s clothing, accessory and shoe store. The 3,500-square-foot space is leased from St. Paul Methodist Church for an undisclosed amount and has four dressing rooms and a 10-space parking lot. “It’s a little bit more homey,” said Katia Jordan, a senior majoring in fashion design at Missouri State University. The Springfield store opened in September 2009 at 400 E. Walnut St., at the corner of Walnut Street and Jefferson Avenue. Katia Jordan’s father, John Jordan, encouraged her to open the Rolla store in June 2008, in part, to satisfy her degree’s requirements for retail experience. The family used savings to open both stores. Hours: 10 a.m.–7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Saturday. Phone: (417) 862-6107.

O’Reilly’s nearby Hilton Garden Inn also is LEED certified. The restaurant employs about 100 people. Hours: 11 a.m.–11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, 11 a.m.–midnight Friday and Saturday.
