Paul Mueller Co. (OTC: MUEL) had a jump in quarterly profits at the start of 2025.
The Springfield-based stainless steel manufacturer reported net income of $4.9 million, a 10.8% increase from $4.5 million a year earlier, according to a news release. Year-over-year diluted share earnings rose to $5.26 from $4.10 per share.
During the first quarter, trade sales grew to $58.9 million from $50.4 million a year earlier.
As of March 31, Mueller Co.'s assets were $169.6 million and its work backlog was $254.5 million, according to the release.
The company's over-the-counter stock was trading at $254 as of 10:50 a.m., compared with a 52-week range of $76.77 to $258 per share.
