Miller Commerce LLC owner Matt E. Miller formed a subsidiary to focus on senior-living developments.
The new company, dubbed Miller Living Communities, will develop residential projects in the Springfield area, according to a news release.
“The face of the senior population is changing, and today people are active, community-oriented and have different lifestyle expectations,” Miller said in the release. “Our team has been fortunate to develop some great partnerships, and together we’ve been able to meet those needs and connect the right people with the right place.”
Miller Living Communities’s current development list includes:
• Turners Rock, a senior-living community comprising 51 independent living units, 50 independent living, 50 assisted living and 20 memory care beds east of Highway 65 and Sunshine Street;
• Turners Pointe, a skilled nursing center next to Turners Rock;
• Mission Ridge, a housing center south of Republic Road on Kansas Avenue; and
• a yet-to-be-unveiled independent living apartment complex with TLC Properties.
Previously, Miller Commerce launched senior-living developments Tera Vera and Birch Pointe. Outside of senior living, Miller Commerce’s projects include Brick City, Eko Park, Deep Elm and SoEL District Lofts, according to the company’s website.
Miller Living Communities officials plan to provide updates on pending projects on April 28 during the Fearless Aging Expo at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds, according to the release.
