McDonald's ongoing investigation into former CEO Steve Easterbrook now includes an examination into allegations of human resources misconduct and cover-ups of improprieties by other employees.
Easterbrook was sued earlier this month by McDonald's for allegedly engaging in sexual relationships with employees and giving one of them a batch of company shares.
Former McDonald's managers told The Wall Street Journal that HR leaders allegedly ignored complaints about the conduct of employees when Easterbrook was CEO. They further alleged that they feared retaliation for reporting such conduct.
