Ozark-based Least of These Inc. has hired a new executive director.
Angela Hudson has been appointed to the role with an official start date of Sept. 22, according to a news release.
At Least of These, Hudson succeeds 10-year employee Kristy Carter, who became executive director of the Jordan Valley Family Health Foundation this spring. The Least of These board selected Michele Pierce, the nonprofit's director of client services, as transitional administrator in the interim period.
"Angela’s passion, experience and vision make her the right leader to guide the organization into its next chapter," Least of These board President Kary Kingsland said in the release. "The board is confident that under Angela’s leadership, we will continue to grow our impact and serve our mission with even greater strength."
Hudson has more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit management, organizational development and event strategy. Her LinkedIn profile indicates she most recently worked as event manager at Digital Monitoring Products Inc. and has experience with organizations including Convoy of Hope, James River Church and the American Cancer Society.
As executive director of Least of These, Hudson will lead an organization with a nearly $5 million operating budget, according to past reporting. The Least of These website currently lists five employees for the nonprofit that operates a food pantry in Christian County.
“This organization has such a rich history of compassion and impact, and I am excited to build on that foundation," Hudson said in the release. "My vision is to grow our presence throughout Christian County so that more families know who we are, what we provide and how they can partner with us in bringing hope and resources to their neighbors in need."
