Italian restaurant to open at Branson Landing

Posted online

An Italian restaurant is taking the place of another eatery at Branson Landing.

Owner Rick Huffman, CEO of HCW Development Co. LLC, which built and owns the outdoor retail center along Lake Taneycomo, said Ramata Italian is targeting an Oct. 1 opening date. The building previously housed Famous Dave's, which relocated this spring to a former Rib Crib building on the 76 Strip, according to past reporting.

Huffman said Ramata Italian, an HCW concept, would be a fine-dining restaurant.

"We don't have any Italian food in the Landing other than pizza," he said. "Branson itself really doesn't have much Italian flair. Olive Garden is about it anymore."

A Tripadvisor listing also identifies Florentina’s Ristorante Italiano and Pasghetti’s for traditional Italian dining in Branson.

HCW currently is conducting a $2.5 million renovation of the 7,000-square-foot Branson Landing building, Huffman said. The space was gutted, he said, noting a glass-walled kitchen that would allow customers to see the food-making process is among planned features. The restaurant’s website indicates it will have 231 seats.

The restaurant site is adjacent to Guy Fieri’s Branson Kitchen and Bar, which opened last year.
