Husch Blackwell LLP has launched a psychedelic drug practice to advise clients on emerging therapies.
Since psychedelics are illegal for recreational use and classified as Schedule 1 drugs, the law firm is working with clients to help regulate their use in research laboratories.
“There is a huge amount of scientific research going on and evidence suggests that the use of certain psychedelics has unbelievable potential for treating mental disorders like anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder," said Curt Chase, leader of Husch Blackwell’s health care, life sciences and education industry team.
