Harmony House has chosen its next executive director.
Kirstyn Walker has taken on the role effective July 1, according to Quinlan Pulleyking Meade, Harmony House’s director of marketing and communications.
The decision is a promotion for Walker, who previously served as the nonprofit's assistant executive director since joining Harmony House in July 2025.
“The work Harmony House does to serve survivors of domestic violence impacts our community in such a meaningful way, and I am beyond honored to be entrusted to lead this organization," Walker said in a news release.
There were over 60 candidates for the position, said Meade.
As executive director, Walker leads a nonprofit with a $3.8 million operating budget and 61 employees.
Walker succeeds Jared Alexander, who exited the role this month, according to past reporting.
