Harmony House's executive director is exiting the role.
The nonprofit announced in a news release this morning that Jared Alexander would transition away from the top leadership role. The nonprofit's board is starting a search for his successor in the next month.
Alexander is leaving for a different organization, and an announcement will be made at a later date, said Quinlan Meade, Harmony House’s director of marketing and communications. Alexander’s last day at Harmony House is June 24, Meade said.
“The board of directors wishes to thank Jared for his tremendous contributions and leadership during his tenure," said Jennifer Henry, board chair, in the release. "We are grateful for his dedication to Harmony House and for advancing our mission of supporting survivors of domestic violence, while helping keep this critical issue visible in our community. We wish him the very best in his future endeavors."
Alexander joined Harmony House in 2019 as director of development and became executive director in 2022.
In the release, the nonprofit credits Alexander with leading its first ever $1 million direct fundraising year; adding an assistant executive director and human resources roles; and working on legislative advocacy.
“My time at Harmony House has been some of the most rewarding work of my career," Alexander said in the release. "I am confident in the strong leadership of this organization to carry the mission forward and continue providing survivors in our community with life-changing resources."
