General Motors' Fairfax Assembly Plant in Kansas City, Kansas, is planning to swap out production of the Chevrolet Malibu for the Bolt electric vehicle.
A $391 million investment is expected at the plant starting in November.
The Malibu has been produced at the Fairfax plant since 2003.
