Former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens says he was eating dinner with a friend Monday night when they heard gunfire.
Greitens, a former Navy Seal, and his friend Gregg Favre, a former fire captain, rendered aid on the victims before paramedics arrived.
Police said one man died at the scene and another died later in the night. The shooting was near Saint Louis University.
