From what I have read, the "reform" would have criteria impossible to meet therefore ending a citizens RIGHT to intervene bad decisions, or when their wishes are ignored, by initiative petitions.

It's our only recourse to shaping our laws. Yet they undo laws we the people have established by our votes ( recently the right to sick pay for employees) with little effort.

I believe the initiative petition should be reflective of a majority of voters in recent elections. It should not be unreasonably limited, especially since the issue in question will then be voted on by the entire state.

I do not agree the initiative process needs to be changed, but at least the voters will have a say whether it changes or not. However, the way the legislature works it will likely not make any difference. The legislature will find a way to override the voters will much like they did on the employee sick pay and the gasoline tax a few years ago. This group seems to think they know better than their constituents, which is why they all need to be voted out.
