CoxHealth's newest ‘super clinic’ opens

CoxHealth's latest "super clinic," a $9 million investment, has opened to the public.

The Springfield-based health care system held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Dec. 21 at 5100 N. Town Centre Drive in Ozark, according to a news release issued yesterday.

Replacing existing primary care and urgent care clinics in Ozark, the 30,000-square-foot facility was built on land CoxHealth purchased at the southwest corner of highways 65 and CC. KCI Construction Co. served as general contractor for the project designed by H Design Group LLC and BSA LifeStructures, according to past Springfield Business Journal reporting.

Officials have used the term "super clinic" to refer to facilities with multiple types of health care in one place. The Ozark clinic has primary and urgent care, pediatrics, a pharmacy and physical therapy, according to the release.

CoxHealth earlier this month opened a $10 million similar clinic in Nixa. Others are underway in Monett and Republic.
