Chateau on the Lake Resort, Spa & Convention Center was named the best resort in Missouri by U.S. News & World Report. It’s a familiar recognition for the Branson lodging facility.
"To be recognized by U.S. News & World Report for three consecutive years as the best resort in Missouri is a terrific honor,” said Jon Davidson, Chateau on the Lake’s recently hired general manager, in the release. “This is a reflection of the very dedicated and talented team at Chateau.”
On U.S. News & World Report’s list of the best hotels and resorts — released last week — Chateau on the Lake also was picked as the 14th best hotel in Missouri and the best in Branson. It also ranked No. 311 in best U.S. resorts and No. 1,116 in best U.S. hotels.
“If you want to balance out the hokey fun of Silver Dollar City with a little luxury, Branson's Chateau on the Lake Resort Spa & Convention Center is worth a stay,” its U.S. News & World Report profile reads.
The resort has 301 rooms, 43,500 square feet of meeting space, a spa, tennis courts and 10-story atrium, among other amenities.
Seafood Express opened; Hemporium rebranded to Seed of Life Farms; and a new Branson attraction, Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition, debuted.
