Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said Saturday the government should be more involved in regulating the Internet.
“Every day, we make decisions about what speech is harmful, what constitutes political advertising and how to prevent sophisticated cyberattacks,” he wrote in an opinion piece. “These are important for keeping our community safe. But if we were starting from scratch, we wouldn’t ask companies to make these judgments alone.”
He called on privacy rules such as Europe's General Data Protection Regulation to be adopted in other places around the world.
