Zuckerberg breaks silence on data scandal

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg yesterday broke his silence on the Cambridge Analytica data scandal.

During a media tour, Zuckerberg said he isn't opposed to regulation by world governments.

“I actually am not sure we shouldn’t be regulated. I think in general technology is an increasingly important trend in the world," he said. "I think the question is more what is the right regulation rather than ‘yes or no should we be regulated?’”

Zuckerberg previously had stayed silent on the company's role in Cambridge Analytica's breach of 50 million Facebook profiles.
