Zombie movie legend George A. Romero dies

The father of the modern movie zombie died Sunday of lung cancer.

George A. Romero, 77, created “Night of the Living Dead,” which gained fame and started the horror subgenre.

It went on to inspire movies like “The Purge” and TV shows like “The Walking Dead.”
