Zillow is giving $1,000 to new parents

New moms at Zillow will soon get four months of paid leave and $1,000 to spend on their new bundle of joy.

The real estate marketplace extended paid time off for new moms to 16 weeks of fully paid leave from 12 weeks of partially paid leave. New dads, who previously received no paternity leave, can now get eight weeks at full salary. Adoptive parents also can get eight weeks.

The Seattle-based company said it would give all new parents a $1,000 Amazon gift card.
