Georgia-based Zaxby's filed suit against Kentucky-based Joella's.
The suit alleges Joella's "has begun using logos that are confusingly similar to Zaxby's trademarked logos" and has harmed Zaxby's business as a result. Both logos have a silhouetted chicken inside a circle.
Zaxby's has more than 900 restaurants, the majority of which are franchises. Joella's has 15 locations with at least two more planned to open this year.
