The Springfield First Community Bank Board of Directors elected Youngblood Auto Group owner John Youngblood to join its ranks.
A Springfield resident for more than 30 years, Youngblood founded the automotive group that sells Nissan, Kia, Jeep and Chrysler models on both sides of South Campbell Avenue south of Walnut Lawn Street. His other affiliations include those with Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks, Springfield Public Schools and the Ozarks Technical Community College Foundation, according to a news release.
“His remarkable achievements, as well as his insight into the local business landscape, will help him make many valuable contributions to our bank’s continued growth and success,” SFC Bank CEO Rob Fulp said in the release.
Youngblood joins other board members Fulp, Monte McNew, Kirk Bossert and Noel Boyd of SFC Bank; Jim Anderson of CoxHealth; Jan Baumgartner, an SFC Bank organizer currently involved in several family companies; Bob Beine of Republic Ford Lincoln and Carthage Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Ram; Brent Davis of Bristol Manufacturing Corp.; real estate agent Larry Lipscomb; Charlie O’Reilly of O’Reilly Automotive Inc.; Tim O’Reilly of O’Reilly Hospitality Management; and H. E. "Spook" Whitener of Trailiner Corp.
From its single branch at 2006 S. Glenstone Ave., SFC Bank posted 2016 net income of roughly $7 million, according to
Springfield Business Journal archives.
