Defunct Kansas City-area trucking company Yellow Corp. has reached settlements in two cases alleging the business did not provide proper warning of layoffs through Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act notices.
Tentative agreements have been reached with the Moore class, representing 3,200 nonunion employees, and the Coughlen class, with 482 mostly union employees, for undisclosed terms.
WARN notifications require at least 60 days' notice of layoffs.
