Year of the horse: Budweiser Clydesdales to visit China

Posted online
The Budweiser Clydesdales, a marketing staple of St. Louis beer barons Anheuser-Busch, are planning to visit China to participate in the Chinese New Year, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

The Clydesdales are flying in custom stalls and with trained handlers to the Far East to commemorate 2014 as the year of the horse. They will appear individually and in small groups at ceremonies in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.

The move could be a part of Budweiser’s efforts to leverage the Clydesdales' popularity internationally to boost its flagship brand, the Post-Dispatch reports.
