Smirnoff, who has a master’s degree in applied positive psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, in August taught a course on laughter in relationships at Missouri State University. Next month, he will teach a three-day special-topic course at Drury University.
The class, called “Living Happily Ever Laughter,” will look at “understanding the foundation of love and laughter in relationships and how laughter is a gauge of a healthy relationship,” according to a news release. The course will use a combination of lectures, role-playing, student presentations and other activities.
Students will earn one credit hour. The course will meet 5:30–9:30 p.m. Feb. 2; 5–9 p.m. Feb. 3; and 5:30–8:30 p.m. Feb. 16. It is open to degree- and nondegree-seeking students from all disciplines.
