Yahoo to pay $50M to data breach victims

Yahoo agreed to a $50 million settlement with victims of its 2013 data breach.

Roughly 200 million users will be reimbursed through the settlement with cash and free credit monitoring services.

The data breach victims sued Yahoo in federal court over allegedly failing to disclose weakness in its email system that were exploited in the attack.
