Yahoo to buy back $3B in shares

Yahoo announced today a share repurchase program of $3 billion.

Ahead of the company's pending deal with Verizon Communications, Yahoo officials said the company would pay $44.74 and $50.79 per share.

Yahoo is set to be renamed Altaba after the Verizon deal closes.
