Yahoo says data stolen from 1 billion accounts

Yahoo yesterday disclosed a security breach that may have affected more than 1 billion accounts. 

Dating back to 2013, the breach is thought to be separate than another hack that stole data from at least 500 million users accounts. The latter breach was announced in September.

Yahoo officials say the latest breach may have included names, email addresses and passwords, but not financial information.
