Yahoo delays sale to Verizon

Yahoo has delayed its sale to Verizon Communications Inc.

Announced last July, the $5 billion acquisition was scheduled to be finalized by March 31.

Now, however, the end date has been pushed to the second quarter.

Yahoo faces an investigation by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission over whether company officials were too slow to disclose security breaches to investors.
